It’s always a pleasure to see Yve Mary B. Sunday being Funday I spent a couple of hours beforehand at the lovely Plasterers Arms listening to Dave Thomas, who recently penned this fine song for the Refugee Crisis Fundraiser at Norwich Arts Centre, where over £2000 was raised on the night.
Afterwards I made my way to the Lord Rosebery once again, where their Sunday evening music sessions seem to be continuing. Yve was already playing when I arrived, beautifully delivered originals and covers in her country blues style and her gorgeous voice. She even brilliantly performed a song I had asked her about, Townes Van Zandt’s If I Needed You. She also played another request, an exquisite version of Desperado.
