Dove and Boweevil, Sunday Blues Session live at The Plasterers Arms, Norwich, 27 April 2014
It’s so good to have Mark Howes (Bo) back playing and doing what he loves best as Dove and Boweevil. After the fantastic achievement of reaching their target with the Pledge campaign to raise the funds for the recording of their second album, Mark sadly had an enforced spell of several months in hospital which of course delayed the recording.
Thankfully Bo is now back on his feet and playing again, regaining his callouses on his fingers and treating us all to some great blues guitar. He has been much missed and hopefully they will soon both be back in the studio.
Along with the ever cheerful Lauren, Dove and Boweevil played a lovely relaxed and informal set on a sunny late afternoon in the wonderful Plasterers. It was a real treat for all present/
After their session I caught a couple of hours of the recently relocated Jazz Jam which is now hosted by the Ten Bells and a perfect setting it is too. A lovely vibe on a Sunday evening with some laid back jazz to accompany evening chats over a glass of wine, cocktails, or a pint of ale.
