Anna Mudeka Band at The Lounge, Norwich. Review and photos. Matt Watson’s pledge campaign to fund his album.
After watching the excellent folk spot afternoon in the Blueberry, organised by Matt Watson, I headed to the Lounge before going home to catch another typically lively and energetic performance by the brilliant Anna Mudeka Band. Their infectious Zimbabwean rhythms and some frenetic dancing, all backed by a superb band always gets the place dancing and jumping.
My friend Matt Watson has last week set up a pledge campaign to fund the recording and release of a new album, with some great incentives, from simply pledging the money for the released album, a signed album, a mention etc. right up to a concert in your own home. He’s a great chap and a very fine musical artist too – if you’d like to pledge you can do so here: http://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/mattwatsonmusic

I stumbled upon your blog researching on Norwich, where I’m currently traveling. I love the coverage you’re giving to this gig and how you’ve captured the mood of the Anna Mudeka Band’s performance! It looks like a good time and I’d love to see more live music around here.
Thank you 🙂 It’s a good time to be in Norwich for music, there is so much happening and it is really diverse too. I’m only able to cover a fraction of it but it’s a healthy ‘problem’ to have. If you’re about next month for NNF14 you will be very spoiled for choice too 🙂
