Rattleshack @ Rumsey Wells 13 August 2013

A bit of an impromptu gig, this one, as I knew nothing about it until I saw a message from fiddle-player Georgia late in the afternoon. Despite still feeling rather exhausted from the Harlequin Fayre, I forced myself out to this pre-tour warm up from a band I’d heard a lot about but never seen before, as they have only played Norwich once before.

Playing entirely acoustically they belted out a really infectious set of dirty, grungey country, hillbilly and energetic songs which I found utterly irresistable and was happy to buy their CD (which is excellent) and contribute to the pot that went around for their expenses as this was an unpaid gig for them. I’m glad I made it to this one, great fun and a memorable night.
