Rainbow Girls

Just occasionally one comes across a band for the first time who truly move, excite and lift one so totally as to get absolutely caught up in the moment and the music. It’s fantastic to be reminded of what music is all about and these five lovely girls from California certainly manage to do that. They play with soul, spirit and energy, are talented and versatile musicians, have beautiful voices and write stunning and catchy songs. On top of this they are all terrific people with a great attitude and positivity who clearly adore playing and just want people to hear and enjoy their music too. Bands with such talent and integrity deserve all the success in the world and anyone who has seen how Rainbow Girls engage with their audience and the dancing that accompanies their stompin’ gigs will know that it is only a matter of time and opportunity before they reach a very wide audience indeed.

Here are a few of my photos of them as a kind of tribute to one of the best live bands I have seen … ever. Rainbow Girls have made a big and lasting impression on me, and I suspect on all who have seen or heard them. Download their superb new album here and catch them while they are in the UK.
