The amazing and lovely Wooden Arms, with the beautiful and mesmeric Milly Hirst, perform live tonight (2nd May) at the Tipsy in Dalton, London, and on Friday at Liverpool Sound City.
And we’re back! After a very successful launch party earlier this month we are pleased to announce the next Cat Club will be a special launch party for the brand new ‘Oh So Quiet’ Ep, out on Cool For Cats Records on April 29th.
OH SO QUIET
Guilford-based duo Oh So Quiet combine indigenous Latin-American music with western indie and folk, and top it all off with angelic female vocals and perfect harmonies. While it might seem like an unusual choice for Cat Club,we’ve fallen in love with their debut EP and we’re sure you will too
Wooden Arms are a subtle blend of classical instrumentation and composition, modern melodies and production, and 5 part harmonies.
The result is truly wonderful-those cool cats at the 405 described them as “a brooding and delicate classical-folk song that is smothered in subtlety, tension and lush reverb”
The single ‘Separate the Verb’ will be released on the 19th of April 2013 on independent record label Bare Feet Records and our Cat Club show will be their London launch party
Natalie Evans is a singer-songwriter who uses fingerpicked guitar melodies and layered vocal harmonies to create a unique style which draws influence from Joanna Newsom,Regina Spector and Owen. On stage, Natalie is accompanied by a violinist/backing vocalist, and performs a mixture of acoustic guitar and loop pedal based songs.
8.00 till late
and on Friday for Liverpool Sound City at the Escalator Music gig.
