Olympic flame torch relay passes through Norwich

Ahead of the London 2012 Olympics in London, the Olympic flame has been travelling around the country in a torch relay to Stratford in London. On the 4-5 July it passed through Norwich on a beautiful balmy summer spell. Norwich was already in party mood with many festivities planned for the torch relay and a long weekend of celebrations for the Lord Mayor’s Procession and Big Dance weekend, so the city was packed with people to join in. Personally this is where my interest in the Olympics begins and ends but I did enjoy the atmosphere. A highlight was a truly stunning six minute 3D projection onto the Norwich Castle in the night.
